The Hungarian favorites for this week

Hey everyone! The weekend is slowly closing, and however I had a quite hectic week, Budapest Bonkers is back on fire again. As I got so much fantastic stuff which I could post, I've decided to make a compilation about my favorite Hungarian stuff - and go a bit versatile, so you can enjoy a wide range of genres.

Let's kick off with a FREE EP with the best up and coming Hungarian electro producers. Or I shouldn't say electro, since dubstep and trap involved here as well. Anyhow, enjoy the monstrous "Outrage" by Exetfail and a free pack of remixes coming from Nervé, Bastardfool, B:Azta and Sippor. You can find a quick mixtape of the EP on this Soundcloud link and you can download the whole thing RIGHT HERE! Don't hesitate!

And I'm still not finished with some massive party sounds! Sadly, the Köknüb Krú decided  to finish posting on their blog. However, one of the founding members of the group, Kiwy sent me this massive set including his favorites from last year.

I'm quite happy because I've received loads of new stuff during the last few weeks, although the blog was not operating at all. Syrus sent me this fascinating 40-minute mixtape, including some really fat breaks & house tracks. Check it out!

VJ Flux, was one of the best known VJs around Budapest recently spiced up her VJing career with a DJing spinoff. She teamed up with Amanda to form a new girly-house duo and tear up some dancefloors in Budapest during the next months. Take a listen of their introduction mix, it's really worth it!

BPB Party Planner: Blond:ish @ Cinema Hall (2013-02-22)

Well, the weekend is almost here and it starts out with a blast in the already legendary Cinema Hall. The British duo of the beautiful Anastacia and Vivie-Ann or better known as Blond:ish will take over the decks in the main room on the next Newcomers party.

The girls are not just beautiful but also really talented, releasing original tracks on Noir Music, Get Physical and Kompakt, while pumping out remixes on imprints such as Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried Records.

Of course, if you know BPB well from the old times, you know that I won't let you prepare for a party without a nice warmup mix. So here's a brand new set from the girls themselves, made for Fabric London

Of course, the Hungarian supporting cast shouldn't be forgotten as well! In the main room, Jumpski & Detective Kelly  will deliver the sexy house beats alongside with Chuck and Perge. The Green Room will host the Newcomers Allstars, while Maxim Kuznyecov play an all-night long set in the Blue Room. Party up!

Budapest Bonkers Relaunch 2013

Hey everyone.

As you might have noticed my beloved BPB blog has been very silent lately, actually since last summer. I had (and actually I am currently having) a really busy period of my life, but somehow my passion for electronic music is way stronger than anything else.

Therefore I've decided to continue the blog and make it even bigger, better and more interesting!

In the next few months you'll experience major changes around here, especially when it comes to design and hopefully the blog will move aswell.

Here are some of the unique features that you'll come around when you visit BPB:

The BPB Selection - every Monday, you'll find the last week's top 5 tunes, so you can have a compact review of what happened during the last week.

The Dante GBRL Podcast - This will be my really own podcast, posted every Tuesday including some nice deep and sexy music that will help you to make it till the weekend.

Your Guide to the Weekend - This is an exclusive mix series of the blog aswell, mixed by either my humble self or a guest DJ, 1-hour of party tracks to set your mood for the weekend.

BPB Party Planner - Party previews for the weekends (and weekdays) including mixes, tunes and every other promo stuff: just to make sure that you'll have a nice evening in the Budapest area.

And of course, you'll find the usual previews, reviews, mixtape collections and every other stuff to satisfy your electronic dance music needs.

I would also like to encourage you to send tunes and mixes to the BPB mail, the best ones will get posted and much more: bpbonkers@gmail.com

Also I'll make some compact posts at the blog's Facebook page, so if you do not want to miss anything (including some free stuff), please LIKE the blog @ www.facebook.com/budapestbonkers

So, let's roll on again and make some noise!

Your Guide to the Weekend Episode 14 - mixed by Dante GBRL

So, girls & guys, finally here's the weekend again, which means one thing for sure on BPB: a brand new "Your Guide to the Weekend" mixtape. Being in the middle of the summer holidays (well, not for me though), I've decided to make an extended session for you, this time it's a 1-hour mix to set your mood for huge parties or enjoying the sunshine at a beach or wherever you are.

Kicking off things with a nice mashup by Greek DJ Sean Angel, who made this award winning booty using 30 Seconds to Mars' "Yesterday" and blend it into Tristan Garner's floorfiller "Punx". I've included my current favorite track "Geronimo" from Fred Falke & The Knocks, while you can find various summer tunes inside from Oliver, Madeon, Wax Motif, Foamo and many more, plus a brand new revamp of Example's "Changed The Way You Kiss Me" by Stiletto. Feel free to listen, share, download, comment, like and love!

#5 The Cardigans - My Favourite Game (NOZE interstellar remix)

Let's start out with this monstrous remix of video game classic tune "My Favourite Game", courtesy of The Cardigans. Milan-based NOZE delivers great new addition, while keeping the best parts of the original. Highly recommended for every Gran Turismo fan!

When somebody's thinking about summer tunes, there has to be at least one Fred Falke remix that comes to mind. This year he did it again with this super-light, yet still very catchy remix of British trio Dirty Vegas' "Emma". Surely a lock in my sets, all summer long!
