Mord Fustang - Welcome to the Future EP
19th March marks the release of the newest EP of Estonian wonderkid Mord Fustang! Responsible for some of the most-well known electro tracks over the past year, including his much talked about break-through single "Lick The Rainbow" and the Deadmau5-influenced "We Are Now Connected", Mord is ready to make his first impact in 2012.
After a fantastic series of singles, this EP is a true heavyweight with 4 tracks! Running with a structure similar to those that have carried himself as a DJ and producer from the outset, the EP’s headliner "Windwaker" draws on playfully distorted leads and robust beats to form something of a captivating contender for this year's WMC. Though the remaining three may not hold the same catchy elements as the aforementioned headliner, "Super Fever", "Welcome To The Future" and "The Majestic" sure do play their roles as essential pieces, contributing well to a great set of tracks. Here you can enjoy the samples, and you can buy your copy starting today on Beatport!

Also, Rustie (who's recently responsible for a massive remix for SebastiAn's "Love in Motion") peeks in for a 15 minutes of fame. Enjoy!

BPB Party Planner: Bladerunnaz & Otherside present TC & ZOMBOY @ Dürlin (03-14, Wednesday)
Of course, the Budapest Bonkers blog favors the really heavy basslines a lot, so here's another party preview for Wednesday night!
Tomorrow, the two biggest bass music crews in Budapest will join their forces for a massive night, including two special guests from the UK.
Straight from Bristol, TC is a true legend on the drum&bass and dubstep scene. His debut album, Evolution, was released in 2007 on D-Style Recordings aswell as most of his releases, while he also had tracks saw the limelight on labels like Shogun Audio, Breakbeat Kaos and many more. It was an easy choice for me to post his 2008 Essential Mix, since this 2-hour set will describe his sound the best. Check it out!

The other special guest coming from the UK aswell, and he's really on a roll in 2012. Hailing from Guilford, Zomboy gonna rock the dancefloor of Dürlin with his dubstep set - which set is actually a really old wish from the Hungarian partygoers. He's nearly everywhere nowadays, remixing DJ Fresh, Nadia Ali, while he released his own Game Time EP on Never Say Die Records aswell. So, to get a small taste of what's he gonna play tomorrow, I recommend this mixtape he made for the forementioned Never Say Die Records - it's a 41-minute mix with 44 tracks, you better pay attention to it!

BPB Party Planner: Made Inn meets Hairy /w Gary Beck & Cassy @ Cinema Hall (03-14, Wednesday)
Since 15th March is a national holiday in Hungary, we all get used to the epic lineups on the day before during the last few years. Well, it's truly a revolutionary lineup in Cinema Hall tomorrow night, where not just the crews of Made Inn & Hairy, but two greats of techno and bass music gonna clash!
Hailing from Glasgow, Gary Beck is a truly emblematic figure of the electronic dance music scene with club anthems like "Say What" or "Hear Me Out" he gained support from the big jocks like Pete Tong, Nic Fanciulli, Dubfire or Chris Liebing. He also had numerous releases on labels like Adam Beyer's Drumcode, or Soma Records or his own Beck Audio. As a warmup treat, I recommend you this set he played last year at the Amsterdam Dance Event. Enjoy!

Actually, I should have started the introduction with the other guest DJ, a lady from Berlin, named Cassy. She's not a newbie to the scene either, already worked together with the likes of Luciano, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos or Matthew Jonson - while becoming a resident DJ at the legendary Panorama Bar in Berlin. Here comes a 2-and-a-half hour long mix from her, this will keep you warm until Wednesday night!

The BPB Selection #9
It's Monday again...no, not exactly, I was a bit lazy yesterday, but it's time for the weekly BPB Selection! I'll try to choose 5 tracks each week which - in my opinion - absolutely can't miss ones. There are no rules for genre, either it's a party banger or a listening pleasure, either it's brand new or a bit older (though I'll try to focus mainly on the newbies). Let's see what I've got for this week.
#5 Mightyfools - I Think About You
The Dutch duo is really on fire in 2012 so far. They released a new track on Lektroluv (also licensed it for Dr. Lektroluv's Live in Brazil compilation), made a huge remix for Benny Benassi, and now - they've reached 5000 followers on Twitter. Why is that so good for us? Cause they were so kind to share a free track with everyone, a massive disco tune (also featured on my March promo mixtape fyi) called "I Think About You". Free download, so what you're waiting for?
Mightyfools - I Think About You [free download] by Mightyfools
#4 Andro - Le Jaguar (Bastardfool remake)
Bastardfool is slowly becoming a resident on BPB with his monster productions. This time he selected one of the biggest classics of all-time, when it comes to Hungarian electro, and complimented it with a new 110 BPM background. What's the result? A huge classics revamped with 2012 sound...you must check this out, since it's free!
Andro - Le Jaguar (Bastardfool Remake) by Bastardfool
#3 ValyMo - Bogota Dogs
The #3 selection this week come from Frenchman Valentin Morelle aka ValyMo. Actually it is a 6-month old track, released back on 1st September 2011 on Black Leather Records, however it really got its hype a few weeks ago, when Kissy Sell Out played it on Kissy Klub. Well, I'm jumping on the bandwagon aswell, since I think ValyMo is going to be a name to watch out for in 2012!
ValyMo - Bogotà Dogs (original) by ValyMo
#2 Treasure Fingers - Rooftop Revival
Let Treasure Fingers' latest phased disco delight make your night. Sunglasses highly recommended. Also the whole EP is a free download from Scion/AV.
Rooftop Revival (Teaser) by treasurefingers
#1 Night Symmetry - Turn Off The Lights (Beens remix)
With this week's #1, I have to go back again to my latest mix. This remix from Cologne-based Beens is such a wonderful haunting-yet-still-really-banging track that works well in almost every set. Released on Gash Digital on 23th February.

Monday update: Mumbai Science, Erol Alkan & Boys Noize, Beataucue
Happy new week everyone, I think we all agree that the best thing in Mondays are the new tunes, so let's take a stroll in the new techno world to see what is really hot right now.
It's not a secret (and it never was) that Lektroluv Records is one of my favorite labels, so every Lektroluv release gets a special treatment on BPB. However, if you listen to Mumbai Science's brand new EP, actually the 3rd installment of Unified Theory, you don't need to be biased to be an instant fan of the label. Both "Alchemy" and "Chemistry" are massive techno monsters, already played out heavily by every top notch DJ. Lucky for us, we only need to wait 1 more week for the release. Until then, here are the full-length previews!
Mumbai Science - Unified Theory Part 3 by lektroluvrecords
After their global impact releases Waves/Death Suite (Boysnoize Records 2009) and Avalanche/Lemonade (Phantasy Sound 2010) Erol Alkan & Boys Noize teaming up again, using their sound forces to produce two new tracks ‘Roland Rat’ and ‘Brain Storm’. Here's a sneak peek of the tracks in 2 minutes, that I assume will rule the techno dancefloors this summer! Release date is set for 2nd April!
Roland Rat & Brain Storm (PREVIEW) by Boysnoize Records
Just a few weeks later after they released "Kiho", Beataucue is already back in business with a huge USA-Australia-Japan tour. To underline their commitment, they released a gorgeous 1-hour promo mix, which I bet, contain they newest track (also coming up on Kitsuné) "Slow Down", which will include remixes by Yelle DJs, The Japanese Popstars, Adrian Lux and Dwntwn.

Dante GBRL - March 2012 Promo Mixtape
I hope you had a nice weekend, and you're already pumped up for next week. Since it's Sunday evening, and everyone is a bit lazy, it's time for a bit of shameless self-promotion! I would like to share my March 2012 Promo Mixtape with you - actually it was also this week's BPB Radio Show aswell.
The 1-hour mixtape contains 16 tracks, some of my favorite disco and new techno sounds, which seems a bit odd, but I think the two styles compliment each other really well. The mix includes a brand new Timo Juuti & Hector 87 track from the La Valigetta label, a freebie from the Mightyfools guys, also a new remix of Das Glow's "Concrete" and Scuba's magical bomb "The Hope" as a closer. Hope you'll enjoy it, if you've got any question regarding the mix, or booking enquiry (why not), feel free to e-mail me at bpbonkers@gmail.com or dante.gbrl@gmail.com

Pete Tong - The Essential Selection (2012-03-09)
As a part of the BPB weekend treats I would like to present you Pete Tong's Essential Selection from BBC Radio 1.
Kicking things off with Carl Kennedy's new tracks as well as Arty and Matisse & Sadko’s "Trio" from Axtone, last night’s episode was off to nothing but a great start. Continuing with Adrian Lux's ‘Fire‘ and the soon to be released (and also blogged by BPB) "Feel" by Third Party and Cicada before jumping on to this week’s contenders from Calvin Harris and Tensnake and essential new tune in shape of a brand-new collaboration between Pnau and Elton John, it seems as if Tong just keeps getting better and better at bringing us the best of everything.
Pete also has a small talk with Axwell, who presents the brand new Swedish House Mafia track "Greyhound", 15 minutes of fame with Catz N Dogz, and the usual weekend hot mix. Enjoy, download, share!

BPB Party Planner: Ninjabreakz 5th Birthday /w Stanton Warriors @ A38 (03-10, Saturday)
In the previous post, I told you that this Saturday's gonna be really, really massive in Budapest. Well, here's another reason why. Another great crew, Ninjabreakz will also celebrate its 5th Birthday with a huge party on the A38 Boat, including special guest Stanton Warriors!
This is going to be a special party in terms of genres, since the guys will play pure breakbeat sets (or a little DnB mixed in maybe), no trendy flashes, just celebrating the whole 5 years and its best memories. Well, talking of memories there are some really special ones for Pryus, Psyon and Krueger since the guys played alongside Aquasky, Krafty Kuts, Plump DJs, NAPT, Pyramid and many more big names in the business.
Let's see what we've got for tomorrow. The Stanton Warriors are not just great DJs and producers, but they're also really well known for their fantastic dancefloor bombing re-edits. So, as a kind of a warmup, or let's say a gift to all supporters, they've put 2 great ones up to Soundcloud during the last few weeks, which I'm gonna share with you right now.
First of all, here's their re-edit of the 2010 summer tune "Coma Cat" by Tensnake. This one was posted earlier on the BPB Facebook wall, but I just can't resist to post it here again, it's so awesome and free.
Coma Cat - Stanton Warriors Re Bump by Stanton Warriors
The other one is brand new, and a huge remode of Daft Punk's work on Tron, 1 day old, also a free download. According to their words, this one was a huge blast during their 2011 tours, so better watch out for it tomorrow again! Here it goes.

BPB Party Planner: Kollektiva 5th Birthday /w Little Boots @ Merlin (03-10, Saturday)
It's going to be a really busy weekend in Budapest, when it comes to parties, but I think one of the biggest one will be the 5th Birthday of the Kollektiva crew. Kollektiva has been a quite influential and progressive crew throughtout the last years, and they not only changed the nightlife in Budapest, but also gained huge support and audience in other Hungarian cities aswell. They brought a new musical taste, which depended mostly on the blogosphere, creating the first stir in Hungary of french electro, fidget, tropical and global bass among many others.
The 3 guys, TMX, Fullstereo and Popbitch played along acts and DJs such as 2many DJs, Busy P, Fake Blood, Style of Eye, Yuksek, Kissy Sell Out, Foamo, Calvertron, Jaymo & Andy George, Mightyfools, Blatta & Inesha, Don Rimini, His Majesty Andre and many more. So, let's talk about the 5th anniversary party, since the crew got a very special guest for tomorrow night, none else than Little Boots! I think we all remember her biggest hits like "New in Town", "Remedy" or "Stuck on Repeat", but this time she's gonna perform a DJ set! You might wonder about what the beautiful blondie plays, when it comes to DJing, so I'm just giving you a hint, by posting a few months old mix by her - let's treat it as a warmup!
INTO THE FUTURE mixtape by LittleBoots
Talking about the event, (which you can check out on Facebook aswell) it's not just a simple party, but also a photo exhibition of the best and most exclusive photos taken on Kollektiva parties throughout the last 5 years!

Venue: Merlin Theatre (1052 Budapest, Gerlóczy street 4.)
Lineup:
BIG ROOM:

And still more warmup treat, I'm gonna post the 2 latest sets by Kollektiva resident TMX, his winter selection, one hour of tech sounds, while the other hour containts the sexiest nu-disco beats. Check 'em out!
