EPIC 3.0 Livesets

Eric Prydz's monstrous and long-awaited EPIC 3.0 show took place in New York last Saturday. Following the huge preparations and lead up it is needless to say that the event was a massive success as Prydz took the headlining spot with his mega-talented protegé Jeremy Olander took the decks for the warmup.

As some of you were not that lucky to attend the event personally, it is a great that both sets were recorded. Of course, lots of unreleased material were played both by Prydz and Jeremy, so I bet these sets are a great source to hunt for some upcoming IDs on Pryda Recordings.

Dante GBRL's August Favorites

Yes, you may find it quite lame to kick off the big return of Budapest Bonkers with an own chart, but why not? It was a fantastic month to wrap up a somewhat legendary summer with so many great memories and - of course - so many great tracks. On the other hand, I'm also a bit sad since it ended but September marks the start of new opportunities and a new club season as well.

I had some great success with my "Your Guide to the Weekend" mixtape series, with continuous support by the Mixing.dj website, the last four episodes gained more than 5,000 plays! So, here are my favorites from August in alphabetical order, since it would be an extremely hard task to rank these tunes. Go!

CROATIA SQUAD - GET YOU OFF (MARK LOWER REMIX)
Released back in June, this is a true summer classic, perfect for both deep and peaktime sets, Mark Lower is going to be really big next year!



FAUL & WAD AD VS. PNAU - CHANGES (THE SQUATTERS REMIX)
The original swept the charts all over Europe, though The Squatters' remix proven to be even better for me!



HOT NATURED - BENEDICTION (GRADES REMIX)
It is quite hard to top the original and the Lxury remix but the up-and-coming Grades made a successful effort.



JAUZ - FEEL THE VOLUME
Jauz's bass heavy "Feel The Volume" rocked some of the American festivals this summer, so I thought it is time for him to gain some fame in Europe too.



JUST KIDDIN - THINKING ABOUT YOU
Yet another epic release on the newborn Eton Messy label.



OLIVER HELDENS X BECKY HILL - OVERDRIVE (GECKO)
In my opinion this track is the rare example that vocals can even make better a huge classic. Played it all summer long!


OUTKAST - MS. JACKSON (BRUNO BE & DADO PRISCO REMIX)
If you've been to the Outkast gig in Sziget Festival, you know what I'm talking about.



REKTCHORDZ FEAT. SEAN DECLASE - LOVE FOR GOOD
Rektchordz was mainly known for his dark breakbeat productions, but seemingly he is also quite comfortable in the 4/4 world. Huge house track!



SLIDEBACK - 1974 (CRAZIBIZA & LESTON REMIX)
My absolute favorite for August, also quite happy about the fact that it is a Hungarian track!


ZHU - COCAINE MODEL (BENDER REMIX)
Bender gained quite a fame, no surprise though: this Cocaine Model remix rocked the blogosphere.
