Aeroplane - March 2013 Mix

Vito de Luca aka Aeroplane released his March 2013 mix aswell, including some really tasty stuff inside. My personal favorite over here is the Skreamix of Duke Dumont's dancefloor bomb "Need U (100%)" but the brand H.O.S.H. remix of HNQO looks delicious aswell. Don't miss this one!

The Dante GBRL Podcast 001

Well, as I promised you at the relaunch of the blog, if you keep following Budapest Bonkers you'll get not one, but two mixes each week from now on. One of the weekend - Your Guide to the Weekend - and one for those tiring weekdays. The latter one will be my own podcast, and of course it is also a kind of shameless self-promotion. Well, BPB rarely advises you to go out on a Thursday night but this one is too hot to miss out. Two of Budapest up-and-coming nudisco crews join their forces to show you what is the sexiest music out there right now.

The lineup includes the Deaf DJs whose party series "CTRL+ALT+Dance" is getting bigger and bigger every time (or at least I had a really memorable nights). Their current spring mix is on its way, but why don't you check out how did they see the spring season last year?

Haze-M - Baby Don't Go EP

StayFly has been a quite well-known brand in Budapest nightlife during the last 2-3 years. The guys, namely Jumpski, Detective Kelly, Blatti, Stereostrip and Delay, organized so many memorable nights for house music fans.

The things went so good, that they have decided to take the next step, and created an imprint (associated with the party series). Although we have been teased a lot with previews, on Monday we finally saw the first release of StayFly Records (which already landed in Beatport's 10 must hear nudisco tracks for the week) - coming from well-known names of the house and nudisco scene. Let's see what we have here!

Tunisian producer, Haze-M provided two beautiful house tracks to kick off the label. The original mix of "Baby Don't Go" introduces a cheeky guitar bass with some nice soulful vocals, I can see this hammered a lot during the summer. The "b-side" of the release, "Draw Your Swords" is also a huge summer track, perfect to spin it at, let's say Margitsziget around 6 A.M.

The package contains four remixes of "Baby Don't Go" to satisfy everyone's needs. The most eagerly awaited on is coming from British hotshot duo Him_Self_Her  which takes the original to a bit harder, more dancefloor friendly edge with a nice breakdown inserted aswell. The Newbie Nerdz remix is an absolute peaktimer, I can imagine it easily in techier sets too. My favorite one is definately the german remix by Teenage Mutants and Lars Moston - a kinky, ass-shaking remix, takes every cuteness of the original and converts it into a more sexier version (I'm gonna spin this one a lot, for sure!). The Wize Guys  remix completes the package with a 90s approach, I'm really sure that this one's going to have huge support.

The Hungarian favorites for this week

Hey everyone! The weekend is slowly closing, and however I had a quite hectic week, Budapest Bonkers is back on fire again. As I got so much fantastic stuff which I could post, I've decided to make a compilation about my favorite Hungarian stuff - and go a bit versatile, so you can enjoy a wide range of genres.

Let's kick off with a FREE EP with the best up and coming Hungarian electro producers. Or I shouldn't say electro, since dubstep and trap involved here as well. Anyhow, enjoy the monstrous "Outrage" by Exetfail and a free pack of remixes coming from Nervé, Bastardfool, B:Azta and Sippor. And I'm still not finished with some massive party sounds! Sadly, the Köknüb Krú decided  to finish posting on their blog. However, one of the founding members of the group, Kiwy sent me this massive set including his favorites from last year.


I'm quite happy because I've received loads of new stuff during the last few weeks, although the blog was not operating at all. Syrus sent me this fascinating 40-minute mixtape, including some really fat breaks & house tracks. Check it out!


VJ Flux, was one of the best known VJs around Budapest recently spiced up her VJing career with a DJing spinoff. She teamed up with Amanda to form a new girly-house duo and tear up some dancefloors in Budapest during the next months. Take a listen of their introduction mix, it's really worth it!

BPB Party Planner: Blond:ish @ Cinema Hall (2013-02-22)

Well, the weekend is almost here and it starts out with a blast in the already legendary Cinema Hall. The British duo of the beautiful Anastacia and Vivie-Ann or better known as Blond:ish will take over the decks in the main room on the next Newcomers party.

The girls are not just beautiful but also really talented, releasing original tracks on Noir Music, Get Physical and Kompakt, while pumping out remixes on imprints such as Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried Records.

Of course, if you know BPB well from the old times, you know that I won't let you prepare for a party without a nice warmup mix. So here's a brand new set from the girls themselves, made for Fabric London



Of course, the Hungarian supporting cast shouldn't be forgotten as well! In the main room, Jumpski & Detective Kelly  will deliver the sexy house beats alongside with Chuck and Perge. The Green Room will host the Newcomers Allstars, while Maxim Kuznyecov play an all-night long set in the Blue Room. Party up!

Budapest Bonkers Relaunch 2013

Hey everyone.

As you might have noticed my beloved BPB blog has been very silent lately, actually since last summer. I had (and actually I am currently having) a really busy period of my life, but somehow my passion for electronic music is way stronger than anything else.

Therefore I've decided to continue the blog and make it even bigger, better and more interesting!

In the next few months you'll experience major changes around here, especially when it comes to design and hopefully the blog will move aswell.
