Vicious Recordings Update
Yesterday was a huge day for Australian label Vicious Recordings, coming up with 3 new releases, all of them are bombs in their respective genres, so let's take a look at them.
I have to start out with the sublabel Vicious Bitch's release, which is totally up to my street. Melbourne-based homeboy Kraymer delivers a huge electro banger, called "The Concept", with some really big names on the remix duties. Will Bailey adds his still-bangin-but-also-dutch-flavoured sound to the original, while Jay Robinson takes a chunky ride taking the track a bit deeper, but still keeping it as peak-time material. The dubstep and moombahton fans also get their part with the Sick Nifty and Tigre Hoods remixes, and the packages becomes a whole with the "b-side" called "Bleed". Great release, I think this one will find its way into many DJs' bags!
The Concept EP (Vicious Bitch) *OUT NOW ON BEATPORT* by Kraymer
Next up is a great big room house track from Christian Luke with MC Freeflow on the vocal duties. The original - coming with both vocal and instrumental versions - perfectly fits club dancefloors, while the Malaysian duo Goldfish & Blink making it into an arena banger. Other remixes include Mario Fischetti's bouncy version and Polyfonik's electro treatment.
Christian Luke – The Mission (Original Vocal Mix) by viciousrecordings
If this isn't enough electro house for you, then you have to check the new release by Vandalism. "Insane" is a brutal party track, totally big room stuff - it's already supported by Designer Drugs, Tim Healey, Rico Tubbs among many more. Remixes are coming from Cold Blank, Swedish rising star Franz Novotny and Australia’s Dirt Cheap. Check them out!

The BPB Selection #3
It's Monday again...so, with the weekly BPB Selection, I'll try to choose 5 tracks each week which - in my opinion - absolutely can't miss ones. There are no rules for genre, either it's a party banger or a listening pleasure, either it's brand new or a bit older (though I'll try to focus mainly on the newbies). Let's see what I've got for this week.
#5 Miike Snow - Paddling Out
Last week there was another Miike Snow single on the Selection, maybe that's why I've decided to check out "Paddling Out" aswell, which was played on Pete Tong's Essential Selection aswell. It's also quite haunting like "Devil's Work", though I can't really wait its release plus the remixes (hopefully there'll be many of them, since the original is just born for remixing).
Paddling Out by miikesnow
#4 Mr. Oizo & Gaspard Auge - Rubber (Anthony Atcherley remix)
Shame or not, but Anthony Atcherley was a new name to me until last week. But he's on fire, his remixes and original tracks are awesome, and his sound is a great blend of electro and disco sounds, no wonder why he labels all his tracks as "french touch". Awesome work Mr. Atcherley! Here's the newest free remix from him, made of a great classic by Mr. Oizo and Gaspard Auge.
Mr Oizo & Gaspard Auge - Rubber(Anthony Atcherley rmx) by Anthony Atcherley
#3 Star Eyes - The Night (Hostage remix)
Trouble & Bass just released this monstrous Hostage remix a few days ago, so I was really happy to get my hands on it. Huge bass sound, perfect match of the piano lead in the breakdown, and then those evil bass sounds, it's just enormous! Also played it on the Budapest Bonkers Radio Show!
Star Eyes - The Night (Hostage Remix) by Trouble & Bass
#2 Style of Eye & Magnus - The Antidote (Sebjak remix)
The remixes for Style of Eye & Magnus' collab just got released last week on Tony Senghore's label Horehaus. The NT89 remix got featured on the blog, it was huge, but I find the Highbloo and Sebjak remixes even bigger. It was a hard choice between these but I had to go with Sebjak's remix, as it mixes up so many different moods in one track with great sound - I just love it, and hopefully you'll do the same!
Style Of Eye & Magnus The Magnus - Antidote (Sebjak Remix) [Horehaus] by Sebjak
#1 M83 - Midnight City (Eric Prydz remix)
It's quite unusual for me to post a track as a YouTube video, but I guess this is the time when I just have to. It is still unreleased, though many top jocks are already hammering it a lot, and in the moment I heard it first it's just stuck in my head. The usual high quality by Mr. Prydz, just can't wait the release, it'll be a huge festival track this summer I bet!

Budapest Bonkers Radio Show (2012-01-27)
Time to post the latest Budapest Bonkers Radio Show from Friday, mixed by Dante GBRL, yours truly. The 60-minute set ended up quite eclectic, so much great releases and free stuff during the first weeks of January, it was a really hard decision, which tracks should I include. I also mixed in one of my favorite tunes from the last summer, Danny Daze's "Your Everything". I really hope you'll like the mix, as the February promo mix comes next week, plus I'll introduce a new segment really soon called "Guide to the Weekend".

Can you stay up for the weekend #13
It's a bit late, since it's already Sunday evening, but better late than never - here's this weekend's Can You Stay Up for the Weekend segment, with some really awesome livesets and mixtapes. Enjoy!
BBC Radio 1 held a massive Friday night in Hull, broadcasting the show live with several guest DJs. So what do we have here? First, Annie Mac's Mashup show with Jack Beats and Joker, then Pete Tong's Essential Selection including Julio Bashmore, Groove Armada, Madeon and the man himself, Mr. Tong. If it is still not enough for you, the Essential Mix includes livesets from Chuckie and Porter Robinson. Unfortunately, no tracklist available yet.
And now some mixtapes aswell. I think Downlink is not a stranger to any dubstep fan, so here's his "2012 DJ Mix", 73 minutes with more than 50 tracks. Free download on his FACEBOOK PAGE

Best of Hungary #4
You might know this segment of the blog, since I try to catch up occasionally about the Hungarian underground electro scene. Here I compiled some favorites (I got most of these from you guys, so Hungarian producers, don't be shy to send some demo material!).
Let's start out with Bastardfool, who dropped his newest remix this week, by entering the Atomic Zoo Remix Contest. It's an evil little electro rethink of Dani Deahl's "Diplo Hates You", so if you like it (which I really hope), show some support in the contest and throw a like for him on FACEBOOK
Dani Deahl - Diplo Hates You (Bastardfool Remix) - Atomic Zoo Remix Contest by Bastardfool
I've posted a few DJ sets from Gyurex, who is a quite known face in the Budapest nightlife and not only he's the new warmup DJ of Thrasher Party, but also started a new project for producing along with Baron, which is called Drop The Cheese. This means banging electro (and maybe dubstep?) tracks and a new free EP soon. Here's the first taster. Evil Monkey.
Drop The Cheese - Evil Monkey (Original Mix) by Gyurex
And now, here's something really hardcore. Debrecen-based rock/postrock band My Gift to You continued its great habit to ask electro and dubstep producers to remix their songs. I'm speechless about the results, watch out for headbanging, while you're listening to the remixes of Stereo Killaz, Dave Scorp, Sakic and Priest of Beats.

Still not finished. I would like to introduce DiscoFetish. He sent me a mixtape, but honestly I found his own productions much more interesting, nice mixture of different styles, so I have to say that I'm really looking forward to his debut EP. Here's a preview of one of the tracks called "Ready?". Also show him some support on FACEBOOK aswell.

Closing out the post, I would like to ask you to LIKE the BPB Facebook page @ http://www.facebook.com/budapestbonkers, free tracks on the wall every day, I bet you'll find it interesting!

Forthcoming in dubstep
It's been quite a long time since the last post, that was dedicated especially to dubstep. Well, you don't have to wait any longer, here are some really cool tracks, that'll see the daylight in the next few weeks.
First up, a new remix by Frenchman Habstrakt, who got a release already on Buygore, this time remixing OWSLA-favorite KOAN Sound. The result speak for itself (btw it's a radio rip from Funtcase BBC1 mix), no exact release date so far, though it will be out soon on Screwloose Records.
Koan Sound - Akira (Habstrakt Remix) - (Funtcase on BBC1XTRA) by Habstrakt
The next EP got previewed, will come from no other, than Hungarian prodigy Relok, who is also one of the editors of Dubstep Hungary. This time you can check his producing skills, with this 3-track EP out on February 14th on newly-born Dubtronical Audio. 2 originals are in the package (Golem and Vanquisher) plus a moombahcore revamp of Golem, which happened to be the favorite for me.
Relok - Golem EP [forthcoming on Dubtronical Audio] by Relok
Betamorph Records got a 5-track beauty from Mista Hyde, great atmospheres, destroying drops everywhere. "Bogart" become a favorite for me in a second, well produced EP all in all. The release date set for 8th February. Watch out for it!
Mista Hyde - Orange Sunshine EP [BMD012] by Betamorph Recordings
BONUS:
If you aren't satisfied with the amount of bass I offer you in this post, then here's a little bonus for you. A great mix from Benzi & DJ E-V, straight from the US. Loads of tracks inside, some well-known ones, aswell as exclusives, essential for dubstep fans.
Young & Reckless Present.. BENZI & DJ E-V | Reckless Wobbles by BENZI
Oh, one more thing! I would like to ask you to check out the BPB Facebook wall @ http://www.facebook.com/budapestbonkers! A bunch of freebies come up there every day, for example new tracks from Delta Heavy, Woobbes, Phi Unit and Destrox just today! Cheers!
BPB Party Planner: LavaLava with Deetron @ A38 (01-27, Friday)
It's almost weekend again, so it's time for planning what to do on the two best night of the week. The program for Friday is quite obvious, in my opinion. One of the most well-known crews in Budapest, LavaLava will celebrate its 4th birthday at A38, including top jock Deetron from Switzerland.
A few words about the LavaLava guys: Tolo, Fez & Falcao started out with electro in 2008, while slowly becoming one of the best minimal/tech groups in Hungary, and hosting nights with headliners like Maya Jane Coles, Rodriguez jr., Sei A, KiNK and many many others - not mentioning the A-league of Hungarian DJs aswell.
Inviting Deetron for this shindig is a great choice. He destroyed many many dancefloors last year with his megahit "Starblazer", he mixed the newest Balance compilation, plus he also got a new remix coming out this week on Systematic Records aswell.
Marc Romboy & Rodriguez Jr. - Picnic Electronique (Deetron Remix) by deetron

So, as I promised, here come 2 mixes from the Swiss master, the first one is a guestmix which he made back in October on John Digweed's world famous Transitions radio show.
DOWNLOAD DEETRON'S GUESTMIX ON TRANSITIONS (2011-10-28)
The other one is a 1-hour set aswell (including 22 tracks!) which he made for the Fact Magazine's Mixtape Series. Both sets are obligatory before Friday's party!

New Techno Selection
Yea, I know it's not the best to come up with new genre names, and sometimes it gets quite idiotic. Anyhow, I can't really describe these monstrous tunes with one tag, but all in all they're awesome, and they are coming in the next few weeks!
No Brainer Records come up with another huge pack, this time with Swick's Pasta EP. It contains 3 original tracks (Pasta, Mad Dings, Hocus Pocus) and two remixes from Keith & Supabeatz and Depressed Buttons. The support list is quite massive including Diplo, Crookers, Drop The Lime and Worthy among many other big jocks.
Swick - Pasta EP (NBR015) by No Brainer Records
NT89 is on fire aswell, and what could be a better job, than remixing Swedish master Style of Eye. "The Antidote" was released in 2011, and Tony Senghore's label Horehaus come up with a chunky remix, which will be released on 1st February.
Style Of Eye - The Antidote (NT89 remix) [HOREHAUS] by NT89
Jaymo and Andy George's Inhaler was quite a big favorite for me during the last few weeks, and thank God the magic is not over. Moda Music got a remix package, which includes a remix from Worthy, too bad we have to wait until 13th February to get our filthy hands on it. Until then, here's a teaser.
Jaymo & Andy George - Inhaler (Worthy's West Coast Bass Remix) by Jaymo & Andy George
Staying in Britain, Eats Everything had a huge 2011 with tracks like "The Size", "Whatever Whatever" etc. For our pleasure, he decided to roll on, putting up this new remix on Soundcloud. Huxley's "Let It Go" got the treatment and I bet that this one will be a feature on those Ibiza sunsets later this year!
Huxley - Let It Go - Eats Everything Refuse - by EatsEverything
To close out this selection, I've got something wicked from Fool's Gold Records aswell. There's an EP released today with some really nice Jokers of the Scene remixes, but this one stands out for me. Gingy & Bordello made their debuts on Tiga's Turbo last year, and here's another evil acid track, that'll make you go bonkers. Check it out!
Jokers of the Scene "Organized Zounds (Gingy & Bordello remix)" by Jokers of the Scene
I also advise to please visit the Budapest Bonkers Facebook wall @ http://www.facebook.com/budapestbonkers, since there's a free tune selection there nearly every day. There are freebies from R3hab, The Squatters, Dunjinz and Valy Mo just today. It worth it!
Mixtape Madness Again
It's time for another mixtape post, since these mixes are so tasty, that I cannot resist to post all of them. Also they cover up 3 styles - nu-disco, house and electro - so I really hope that everyone will find something really sexy for his or her taste. Let's do this!
I start out with the big business here, and it is none else than The Magician! Its already his 19th Magic Tape, but the quality keeps getting higher and higher. Unfortunately there's no tracklist, but if you want to check out what is really hip nowadays, when it comes to melodic nu-disco, this is for you.
Magic Tape Nineteen by TheMagician
Staying with the slower beats, the Los Angeles-based Plastic Plates started to grow on me. They made remix for the forementioned Magician last Autumn, out on Kitsune which was really impressing and this 1-hour set is gorgeous aswell. Thank God, it has a tracklist so I can hunt these beauties down one after another.
Tensnake - Need Your Lovin (Tiger & Woods Remix)
Plastic Plates - Toys
The Rapture - Sail Away (Cut Copy Remix)
Todd Terje - Inspector Norse
Shindu - All In My Fridge (Cosmonauts Remix)
James Curd - Moon
Jonas Rathsman - Feeling You
Carte Blanche feat. Alexis Taylor - With You
Punks Jump Up - Get Down (Special Cccrash Mixxx)
Appaloosa - Patchwork (ATTAR! Remix)
Sneaky Sound System - Always By Your Side (Nicolas Jaar "Big" Version)
January 2012 mix for JJJ by PLASTiC PLATES
And now off to some house beats. I've been following Swedish Mikael Weermets work recently, and its quite impressing aswell. Countless mashups, bootlegs, re-edits and some really fine mixtapes he's got under his belt, and this mix for The Space Podcast is no exception. Full of acapellas, there's not a single boring minute in this mix. Check it out!
Mikael Weermets - Live @ The Space Podcast | January 2012 by mikaelweermets
Also, the Lunde Bros. becoming residents here on BPB. With releases on labels like Joia, and these weekly 1-hour mixtapes, these guys got a nice future ahead of them. Tracklist include Steve Aoki, Siege, Dada Life, R3hab, Gregori Klosman and many more.
This Is Lunde Bros. #021 by Lunde Bros.
Also I was quite happy to discover that Cold Blank started a weekly radio show this year, with a guestmix each week. This is the 3rd edition with JELO being the guest time, and it's huge, so electro fans, don't miss out this one!
Burn The Fire Radio Show: Analog Euphora #003 — ft. Jelo by Cold Blank
Oh, and one more thing: I advise you to visit the Budapest Bonkers Facebook wall @ http://www.facebook.com/budapestbonkers aswell, there's a bunch of free tunes there every day, for example Dunjinz, Valy Mo, The Squatters and R3hab for today.

The BPB Selection #2
With the weekly BPB Selection, I'll try to choose 5 tracks each week which - in my opinion - absolutely can't miss ones. There are no rules for genre, either it's a party banger or a listening pleasure, either it's brand new or a bit older (though I'll try to focus mainly on the newbies). Let's see what I've got for this week.
#5 Miike Snow - Devil's Work
Let's start out with the newest Miike Snow single, which is a true delight. Operating with a gorgeous atmosphere, the guys made a listening masterpiece, which is out for a while now, also with a kinda creepy video. Really looking forward to the release of the Alex Metric remix.
Devil's Work by miikesnow
#4 SoSo - Who's Gonna Love Me (Style of Eye remix)
BPB Favorite Style of Eye made it again, with his remix of fellow Swede SoSo. Quite classy that he kept the sound really underground, instead of going into a commercial way, wonderful remix, gonna play it a lot for sure! It's already out on Do It Yourself Bitch.
Soso - Who's Gonna Love Me (Style Of Eye Remix) by Style Of Eye
#3 Modek - Goose Offender (Keith & Supabeatz remix)
The original was a party bomb, but this one takes things to a higher level in my opinion. The crazy samples, the stabs, the mega-chunky bassline. With the Pressure EP and loads of remixes coming out this year, the guys got a very bright future ahead of them. Out on Bronson Records.
Modek - Goose Offender (Keith & Supabeatz Remix) by Supabeatz
#2 Oliver Twizt - Love Trip (Aniki bootleg)
I really missed those disco sounds combined with some 110 BPM moombahton beats, so it was a huge surprise when I discovered Norwegian prodigy Aniki's bootleg. The original track was released last Monday on Spinnin, but this ass-shaking bootleg is all free, so don't waste time, take it.
Oliver Twizt - Love Trip (Aniki Bootleg) by aniki
#1 Reset! - Don't Let The System Control You (summer of love mix)
Well, this tune was posted on BPB back in October, as a preview, and now, it's finally out. The Milan turbofunk masters did it again with a killing turbofunk mix, but for the summer of love mix is the greater deal. Both are tracks are superb, I just simply can't stop listening to them. Hopefully, they'll make the same impact on you aswell. Out on Cheap Thrills.

Can you stay up for the weekend #12
Yay, it's weekend again and it's time for another compilation of awesome mixtapes, radio shows and livesets. I've got the usual amount from the best of house, electro and dubstep.
Let's start out with Andro's weekly electro mix on Hungarian Rise FM. This week he came up with the usual quality, banging electro tunes throughout the whole hour, including tracks from Nicky Romero, Dada Life, Lazy Rich and many others. Check it out!

House music all over the place!
I bet this post gonna make every house music fan smile, because I've got some really tasty previews for you PLUS 2 bootlegs of evergreen classics. So let's bring it on!
MixMash Records' Back2Back series gaining huge popularity, so it's already the 5th edition, which brings you a fresh combination of progressive house with the bits of tech-house from Michael de Kooker and a smashing old-school electro rhythms from Nash One.
Known to us after his remarkable remix on Martin Volt's "Ode To Sweden", Nash One is now appearing in a new sound of the insanely distorted electro beats in his "D Tune". This young talent has rapidly gained the support of the giants, such as Laidback Luke and Bart B More, and is definitely the one to look out for.
Back2Back Series Vol.5 // Nash One - D Tune (Original Mix) by MixmashRecords
A perfect match for playing back-to-back with Nash One is another Dutch upriser Michael de Kooker, better known as a musical chameleon for his creative diversity and ability to produce in almost all dance styles. And what a rave his "Cruising" track on Back2Back Series Vol. 5 is! With the roof-blowing buildups and smashing drops this man surely cooked a new addiction for you! Michael de Kooker was already heard with his "The Twist" supported by Tiesto and Paul van Dyk and his remix on Verachocha - Carte Blanche that spined in the top Dutch charts.
Also, the release date is not a secret anymore: 30th January.
Back2Back Series Vol.5 // Michael de Kooker - Cruising (Original Mix) by MixmashRecords
Dutch newcomer duo, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano continues to roll. After the huge success of their Lethal Industry rework, this time they're remixing another Dutch trance favorite, Ferry Corsten. Huge preview of "Ain't No Stoppin'", out soon on Flashover.
Ferry Corsten ft Ben Hague - Ain't No Stoppin (Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano Remix) PREVIEW by SunneryJamesRyanMarciano
Also, I want to surprise you with 2 massive bootlegs. One of them is made by Moska (featured earlier on Mixmash), he revamped Axwell's "Watch The Sunrise" into a dutch-house monster - and as soon as he reaches 500 followers on Soundcloud, he'll make it free. The other booty gained quite a big support from all the big jocks like Pete Tong, Kaskade, Thomas Gold, Max Vangeli and so on. Belgian youngster Siege took a ride on Djuma Soundsystem's mega hit "Les Djinns". Unfortunately, there's no DL link on the Soundcloud player, but don't worry. 20th January, Friday marks the date of this year's first Casino Bangkok club night, this time at Corvintető. Throughout the last few years, Casino Bangkok has become a brand, when it comes to deep, chilling tech-house and minimal, while complimenting them with an eclectic selection of genres. Kicking off the 2012 season, the 5 residents (Tempo, Dr. Zoidberg, Sinko, Subotage, Ioda) will team up with one of the most well-known Hungarian female DJs, Nora Naughty for a tech & house allnighter. Here comes all the information:

As you might used to, when it comes to Budapest Bonkers, I'll provide you three mixes to set your mood for Friday night. One of them comes from the special guest, Miss Naughty, a radio set she played at the end of the December on Nugen FM, while the other is a true masterpiece from CB resident Tempo, including several of his favorite tunes from last year. Also there's a special set from Ioda, since it's also a video - this is what he played last night at Prime FM. Enjoy all three!

Preview Time #4
Hey, it's Monday, so it's time for a bunch of tasty previews, since some of our favorite labels come up today with their newest badass releases.
Keith & Supabeatz's Pressure EP was one of the highlights of the Autumn, when it comes to quality bassline/house music. After a few months, the remixes saw the daylight aswell. Both "Pressure" and "Grip" are huge party bangers, and "After E" is massive too. The release date is nearly a month away, but the work of the following artists is just outstanding:
Pressure (Etnik & Borussia remixes) // Grip (Modek & Tony Senghore remixes) // After E (SCNTST & NT89 remixes)
Enjoy the teaser!
Pressure Remix EP Teaser (Out Feb 13th) by Keith & Supabeatz Modek joins the premier league of basslines and techy house with his newest EP on Lektroluv Records. Joining a roster of artists like Sound of Stereo, Mumbai Science, Tony Senghore among many other the young Belgian lad perfectly fits in with his trademark basslines. Out on 23th January, both "Willow" and "Dust" are just gorgeous, I wouldn't miss them for sure!

Newcomer on Budapest Bonkers, but no newcomer to the music industry Chris James got a new EP out soon on Anabatic Records. Having previous tracks released on this label, and on well-known DubNoir Music aswell Chris' kept his awesome pace when it comes to premium bassline music. The "Heartaches & 808s" EP (familiar title, huh?) is no exception, 2 quality tracks, can't miss for DJs. Check those excerpts!

The BPB Selection
Oh yes, it's time for a new segment on Budapest Bonkers.
#5 Worthy - Make That Booty Go
With the first one, I have to go with Worthy's new freebie. We knew the guy for his quality releases on Anabatic and Dirtybird, and this techy ghetto bass bomb is a perfect compliment to those releases aswell. I bet it will make lots of hips go wild on the dancefloors, so I advise you to take that free download as fast as you can.

#4 Filthy Dukes - Beat The Break
Release last week on the fantastic Fried & Tested selection on Southern Fried, the Filthy Dukes deliver yet another monster track. I guess I'm a noob, since I first heard their name in 2008, and easily labeled them as an indie-electro formation, but this track is the business. Perfect for dancefloors, perfect for radio sets, monster basslines, techy beats - what else do we need?

#3 Super Super - Babydaddy (Planisfear remix)
British producer Planisfear has been under the radar for a long time now, being a blog favorites, lots of plays and followers on Soundcloud - I have to say that I'm really looking forward to his productions this year, since the start - a remix for German Super Super is monstrous. I love the whole production, the track is very useful for a wide range of DJ sets. It's out on German label Traktor.

#2 Birdee - You Like It
I have to make another selection from the Southern Fried compilation, and it's Birdie's wonderful turbofunk track "You Like It". He's been on fire for the last few months, also a new collab with Milan supergroup Reset!, which is also bomb, but this one is even better in my opinion. Just listen, and wait till the drop. Amazing!

#1 Jonas Rathsman - Tobago
Looks like I'm totally into caribe disco this week. I just can't stop listening to Jonas' fantastic track. Yea I know, it's a bit earlier release out a month ago on French Express. First heard it back in October on a Jaymo & Andy George mix, and since then I just fell in love with it. Very catchy one with those vocal samples, and it's still good even when it's pitched up. Big up for Jonas!
